Christopher Porter
Christopher Porter of Sisler High School maintains a 98.6% average. He is an active cross-country runner, participates in indoor track, outdoor track, curling and badminton. He placed fifth at the provincial cross-country championships and was a quarter finalist in the provincial curling championships. Chris is a member of the MHSAA Champions Cross Mentoring Program and is a member of student council, grad committee, math club and spirit week. He has completed University of Manitoba Calculus I and Calculus II with A+ in both courses. Chris states, "High school athletics have enriched my life making me physically fit, a stronger competitor and a well rounded person. I have always been an academic person, however through sports I have learned things about myself that otherwise would have gone unnoticed. High school athletics have instilled in me a sense of confidence and self worth that cannot be taught in a classroom. I now know that there are no limits once my mind is set…".
