The 2024 Grey Cup Legacy Female High School Coach of the Year was awarded to Kelli Sinnock of Sanford Collegiate.

Kelli is an invaluable resource for the Sandford Collegiate school community, a formidable force for Zone 4, and a positive contributor to MHSAA.

She has been the head coach of the Sanford Collegiate JV and varsity cross country, JV and varsity track & field, and varsity girls basketball team for the past 16 years. In addition, she also is quite involved with Zone IV, acting as their treasurer since 2017 and their cross country convenor since 2019. She has been on the MHSAA Board of Directors twice as the Rural AAA representative and has longtime involvement with several Basketball Manitoba programs including the A-AAA graduating all-star game, award selection committee, TAP program coach, and provincial team as an assistant coach. Kelli has also been the MHSAA Provincial Championship convenor for JV girls basketball twice and once for varsity girls basketball.

This past school year her varsity girls’ basketball team captured the Zone IV AAA banner and the AAA Provincial Championship Finalist banner. Since 2014, Kelli has run the Mini-Sabres basketball camp. This camp is geared towards young athletes ages 5 to 12 that are learning the fundamentals of basketball. Current Sabre basketball players are the coaches and outstanding role models. This has been a great way to connect with the community. Kelli was the MHSAA Jostens Volunteer of the Year in 2014, the Nick Laping Leadership Award recipient in 2022, and was named Basketball Manitoba’s 2024 AAA Girls Coach of the Year.
