Jeff joined the R.D. Parker physical education department in September of 2014 and has been an integral part of the school’s team. He has an incredible ability to motivate students to engage in their journey through all aspects of physical and health literacy with inspiring and thoughtful teaching practices. Jeff has also shown outstanding leadership and dedication to the promotion of programs at R. D. Parker.

Jeff runs the school’s Athletic Council each year, so student athletes have a voice. They have a passion of sport and promote the benefits of being active. Jeff and the council organize tournaments, assist in score keeping, participate in clothing orders and do an exceptional job of keeping school athletics running smoothly. He also created and implemented an Athletic Contract to ensure players, coaches and officials were supported, heard and felt safe during all practices, games, and tournaments.

He organizes most of the school’s tournaments and volunteers during every gathering, coaches’ soccer, curling, and track & field and is the first one to step up if anyone needs support or volunteers. Jeff also referees all sports at the school.

Jeff works very closely with Special Olympics and volunteers his time, and many of the students have participated in programs at the school and have always been supported.

He encouraged one of the students to participate in the RBC Training Ground event back in 2019 and this athlete is now currently training for the Olympics. Jeff is promoting another visit from the event this year.

Jeff has taken on many formal and informal roles within the school and the Athletic department. He exudes confidence and energy, and his approachable nature and intuitive kindness is contagious amongst the students. He is one of the most well rounded, supportive and extremely efficient educators, inspiring excellence and is a visible role model for students.
