Dairy Farmers of Manitoba Athlete of the Week

The Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Athlete of the Week is Amira Lawrence of the Garden City Gophers track & field team.

This past weekend at the Dairy Farmers of Manitoba High School Track and Field Championships Lawrence finished her high school track and field career as the varsity girls 200m and 400m champion. She was also a member of the medley relay team who placed 2nd and she ran the anchor leg of the 4x400 team who won gold. Her contributions helped her team capture two aggregate team banners in the Varsity Girls and AAAA Schools categories.

This grade 12 student is an honour roll student who maintains an academic average of 90%
