Ryan Hudson, of Dakota Collegiate participates in volleyball, hockey, basketball and handball. His Lancers captured the Provincial “AAAA” Volleyball Championship where he was selected as an All-Star. He was also selected to the Graduating All-Star volleyball team and was runner up for the MVA Player of the Year. He received the Dr. Dale Iwanoczko Memorial scholarship award, was co-captain of the Lancers Hockey team and received the Winnipeg Enterprises Scholarship for hockey. Ryan maintains a 96% average and is on the Student Council Sports Committee, volunteers at church, Manitoba Marathon and other activities.
Ryan states, “It has been said that what defines you as a person is what you do and how you do it. High school sports has molded my personality and allowed me to grow into the person that I have become. High school sports truly goes beyond just athletics as the countless life lessons that I have learned from my experienced coaches will undoubtedly stay with me for the rest of my life. I can truly say that high school sport has left me a better person. I have learned many values and life skills.”
